Water stayed really warm all through the Labor Day weekend. Air temps were above 90 degrees and the water temps were as high as 78 degrees in the bays. Bass fishing, particularly top water fishing was very good. Lots of good pike were caught in the mid and even upper 30 inch range. Only a couple of walleye were reported. It appears the crappie have not moved into the deep hole behind Bald Island yet.
